Having a foot stool or an under desk bike petal is extremely helpful. Especially if you are not super tall or do not have long legs.
But really, Ergonomics, first and foremost: I’m all about taking care of my body, especially during those long work hours. No Mess no stress! Chaos is not your friend, my fellow remote worker. Get organized with shelves, drawers, and storage solutions. Chuck that mess away, and you’ll feel like a superhero with a secret lair!
Setting up an organizational system is simple. Use your space. If you have used up the drawers, add more wall shelving, use baskets. Laying works when it comes to organization.. Now when i say layering i don’t mean put everything on top of stuff.. I mean, placement is key when you are using organization incorporated into your decor. Shelving and drawers should also be labeled, somethings have to be as functional as the office but we can make it look like home at the same time! I love incorporating cuteness into my organizing. Everyone needs a chill spot to unwind, right? Design a cozy corner in your home office where you can take quick breaks and recharge. A snuggly chair or bean bag and some favorite books will do the trick! read, or brainstorm ideas. If you have room for a small sofa and along with a small bookshelf, can be perfect additions to this area. Use a corner for something you can look at to even just take a quick breather to relax your mind if you need to and regroup. This works well for me if I do not have time to leave or take a walk away.
Place a vase or large thermos on a small table for you to be able to stand up and move to the other side of the room to take that breather.
Rule #7: Keep the Noise Down, Man
Peace and quiet during your working hours is vital to helping with concentration and production. Design this by adding carpets and curtain panels helps absorb noise distractions. Good vibes only. You can even play very low sounds in the background if that helps you.
